I read that Rusko is holding a contest for his next tour. DJs are invited to submit their best 10 minute mix and the winner will have the opportunity to open for the show.
I’m going to make a 10 minute mix of my own, accept I won’t be djing. I’ll be playing my songs, every note and every beat live, recording, looping, mixing and dropping the best stuff I can for 10 solid minutes.
I’ve been clicking around MadeLoud a bit more recently and I’m very happy with what I’ve come across. They’ve got all types of music, and it’s all easy to get to and well organized. From hip hop, to country, to metal, I’ve seen just about everything there.
They have some great “do it yourself” articles that all musicians are sure to relate to. There are helpful tips to breaking through writers block and an article that discusses how to find a new band member. For anyone who is new to starting their own band, these articles are a great place to start.
Naturally I find myself at the Dance Music page that has a ton of new music for me to dive into. I’m always looking for a new sound and this way I can keep up with all sorts of new artists that would have gone under the radar without MadeLoud.
They’re video selection is also right up to par with the rest of the site. There are pages and pages of videos to choose from, and as always, they would have all gone unnoticed to me if MadeLoud wasn’t on its game.
I’m glad to see someone is taking an active stance toward getting smaller artists out into the light!
The idea behind this video matches the song title. All of the clips used are taken on a cellphone camera during normal hours of the day. They are short glimpses into the somewhat meaningless, but sometimes interesting, parts of life that we all experience on a day to day basis. As the song progresses, the clips begin to change, altering the day.
